May 31, 2021 – Memorial Day
Sun Wah BBQ will be open Monday for Memorial Day. Carry out counters open at 9am. Dining room opens to masked patrons at 10:30am. Kitchens will close at 8:30pm. Reservations for dine-in will be accepted until all available time slots have been claimed. We will seat parties up to 10.
May 9, 2021 – Mother’s Day
Sun Wah BBQ will be open to help cherish moms on their special day. Carry out is available starting at 9am. The dining room with limited capacity seating opens at 10:30am with priority to guests with reservations. Seating and the kitchens close at 8:30pm.

Wednesday is the day to celebrate the libation that’s been with us since recorded history.
April 4, 2020 – Easter Sunday
Sun Wah BBQ will be open on Sunday during its normal business hours for carry out and limited capacity dine-in. Available tables will be prioritized for those who have made reservations.
March 31, 2021 – National Oysters and Clams Day
Let Sun Wah BBQ help make National Oysters and Clams day a tangible event on Wedesday. Steamed Fresh Oysters or Clams in Black Bean Sauce will be apt picks.
March 9, 2021 – National Crab Day
Tuesday is the time to celebrate National Crab Day because Sun Wah BBQ will be offering fried Crab Claws. This exclusive event offering is available as a 4-piece for $16. Also available, our Soft Shell Crab appetizer.
March 1, 2021 – National Pig Day
Monday is the day to especially pay homage to the tasty, tasty pig. Sun Wah BBQ has been doing it’s part for over 35 years in providing Hong Kong’s finest pork offerings to the Chicagoland area. Carry out and limited dine-in are available until 8:30pm.

As Chinese around the world make a concerted effort to gather on the night before the Lunar New Year, Sun Wah BBQ will be closing early to let our families do likewise. The restaurant will open at 8:30am for carry-out service and close at 5:00pm on Thursday, February 11, 2021.
On the actual day of Chinese New Year, Friday, February 12, 2021, Sun Wah BBQ will be open throughout its normal business hours for carry-out service.
The restaurant will be closed February 17 and 18, a Wednesday and Thursday, for break. Carry-out service resumes on Friday, February 19, 2021.
January 2021 – Days Off
From Tuesday, January 5, 2021 through Thursday, January 7, 2021 Sun Wah BBQ will be taking those days off for some much-needed rest. Thank you patrons who have helped keep the roasting chambers roaring throughout 2020. The restaurant will resume its carry-out service on Friday, January 8, 2021.
