Wednesday is a great day to celebrate National Pig Day. Sun Wah BBQ will be doing its part to create delicious tributes like its Hong Kong style Roast Pork.
In 2023, Valentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday. While weekdays are relatively easy days to score a dine-in table as a walk-in, this may not be the case for Valentine’s Day. Consider reserving that romantic table-for-two before someone else does! Sun Wah BBQ will maintain normal business hours for this day. Final seating with kitchens closing at 8:30pm.
In the Argyle neighborhood, Chinese New Year festivities will take place Saturday January 28, 2023. Lion dancers and accompanying troop are expected at Sun Wah BBQ at noon to usher in the new year. Charge up those camera phones!

Continue reading “Chinese New Year Specials”Unlike the weeks off taken by Chinese businesses worldwide, Sun Wah BBQ’s brief Chinese New Year break will take place Tuesday, January 24th and Wednesday, January 25, 2023. The restaurant reopens its doors for a rare Thursday, January 26, 2023 starting at 9:00am. Kitchens close at 8:30pm.
Saturday January 21, 2023 marks the eve of the Chinese lunar New Year. For Chinese around the world, this day his held in regard as the opportunity to gather with family. So that we may do likewise, Sun Wah BBQ’s hours for Saturday will start at 8:30am and close at 6:00pm. Final seating for dine-in will be at 4:40pm.
Continue reading “2023 Chinese New Year Hours”Sun Wah BBQ is the place to be on Wednesday, January 18 to observe National Peking Duck Day. From day one, we’ve served this up properly starting with an initial table side carving of the outer portion. Soft, pillowy steamed bao arrives with garnishes and our house made hoisin sauce. The carcass returns to the kitchen where any remaining meat is transformed into a duck fried rice and bones rendered into a duck broth soup. Our Beijing Duck Dinner is what keeps patrons packing the reservation bookings.
Many Sun Wah BBQ patrons have called well enough in advance where reservations for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are now fully booked. Any further dine-in possibilities will be on a Walk-In waitlist basis. The restaurant continues with normal business hours for Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24, 2022.
For Christmas Day Sunday, December 25, 2022 Sun Wah BBQ opens at 8:30am to start carry-out service. Dining room opens at 10:30am to dine-in patrons. Final seating for the dining room is at 4:30pm. Carry outs halt at 5pm.
