Hong Kong Style Chinese Barbecue
It’s National Dumpling Day on Saturday, September 26. Sun Wah BBQ’s menu offers a selection to fit this occasion. It starts with our pan-fried Postickers or Deep Fried Wontons from our Appetizer category. Har Gow and Siu Mai are now available as an all-day Dim Sum offering, and don’t forget the Wontons and Shrimp Dumplings from our Soup Noodle category.
It’s National Lobster Day on Friday, September 25, and Sun Wah BBQ continues to offer fresh lobster flown in regularly from the Eastern seaboard. It’s directly sourced to eliminate any chances of the lobster languishing in the typical distributor-to-distributor transit shuffle. Our live tank will only be stocked with just enough lobsters to make their stay a short one. When we’re out, we’re out until the next supply flies in. If you see lobster in our tanks, order it for a decadent Lobster Noodle or stir-fried with Ginger Scallion.
Sunday recognizes and celebrates the all-inclusive ubiquitous menu staple that can be a self-contained meal all on its own or serve as an integral part of a major feast. Sun Wah BBQ offers a Fried Rice variety to suit a range of tastes from a BBQ Pork Fried Rice made with our in-house Char Siu to the combo motherlode of the Yen Chow Fried Rice.
Sun Wah BBQ will be open throughout it’s regular hours on Labor Day Monday, September 7.
Sun Wah BBQ will only be open until 5:00pm for Saturday, August 22nd. For the rest of that evening, the restaurant will be closed to the public for a scheduled private event. Final seating for dine-in service will be at 4:00pm.
Sun Wah BBQ’s annual extended vacation break has completed and the restaurant is now back in operation throughout our normal business hours.
Sun Wah BBQ will be OPEN through its normal business hours for Saturday’s Independence Day. Carry out counter opens at 9:00am. Dining room begins service at 10:30am paused only by a 40 minute staff break at 2:00pm. Service continues until our kitchens close at 8:30pm. Please note we stop taking reservations once reservations are all claimed. This is certain to occur days before the holiday. Any additional seating chances will be on a walk-in basis only.
Sun Wah BBQ will be open Father’s Day on Sunday throughout its normal business hours. Carry out counter service starts at 9:00am. Dining room begins service at 10:30am and continues until staff has its 40-minute break at 2:00pm. When the restaurant resumes, service continues until the kitchens close at 8:30pm. As with many of the holidays, reservations for Father’s Day have all been fully booked a week in advance. Any possibilities for dinner service seating will be on a walk-in wait list basis only.
Where Thursday is our typical off-day, you will find us on Thursday, May 14 in Northfield attending a collab fund-raiser at Hofherr Meat Co’s storefront starting at 6:00pm.
