Gung hay fat choy! Happy Lunar New Year! Sun Wah BBQ is actively preparing for our annual Chinese New Year Feast. This multi-course prix-fixe event is available for prepaid dining on Friday, February 27, 2026 or Saturday, February 28, 2026. Lock-in your spot as seats are limited.
COSTS
This Chinese New Year’s Feast is $60 per participant. This includes tax, but does not cover drinks, corkage, or gratuity. Each night will accommodate a total of 100 seats grouped as 10 per table. Smaller groups will be coalesced to fill each table’s seating target. Entire tables may be purchased, but however you may wish to populate it (12 max), the food served will be portioned the same as the other 10-seat tables. BYO Wines will add a $20 corkage fee for each 750ml bottle. Larger bottles will incur a higher corkage. Outside beers and spirits are prohibited. Ordering additional menu items beyond our course is allowed, but be aware there may be delays as our focus will be expediting this feast in a timely manner.
WHEN, WHERE and HOW
Participants should decide which of the two nights they’d like to attend as early as possible to secure their spots. Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28 are the designated feast nights. This takes place in Sun Wah BBQ’s main dining room on the ground floor. Seating starts at 6:00pm and dinner begins promptly at 6:30pm.
All seats for your party must be paid in advance. Call us during business hours or stop by. Indicate which night your party is interested in attending. Payment types accepted include, Visa, Mastercard, or cash. Checks are not accepted. Reminder that we are OFF Thursdays and will not be able to take reservations. Seating purchases are open as of this posting. Any overages will be put on a wait-list in case a cancellation opens up seats. Cancellations have been made down to the last minute, so the waitlist can continue for those willing to stay on it.
Any cancellations must be made before Sunday, February 22nd before 5pm for a full refund. Refunds need to be processed in-person with the same credit card used. Refunds cannot be done over the phone.
On the day of your designated feast, please factor ample time for parking or unloading of guests. The restaurant’s sole loading spot only permits 15 minutes for use of vehicles activating their flashers. Vehicles exceeding this time limit in the city-issued loading zone may be subject to ticketing. As indicated elsewhere, the parking structure at 5051 Broadway is primarily used for tenants across the street. If you chose to park here, please note their rates and be aware the restaurant offers NO Validation as this is not our operation. Level 3 and above are available to the paying public. Exit kiosk only takes credit cards, so DO NOT lose your ticket.
If you choose to find street parking, please note that certain streets in the neighborhood are strictly permit-only as indicated by posted signs.
The feast is communal-style where everyone is sharing the food on the table.
As the feast concludes, drinks, corkage, additional order and gratuity will be totaled. Consider settling up with cash as there is almost always a credit card processing bottleneck at the end of events like this. For credit cards, the restaurant accepts Visa and Mastercard only. Discover and AmEx are not accepted.
FEAST MENU
The official feast menu always takes a bit longer to finalize than this announcement. The full menu will be posted the week of February 9, 2026 right here as well as our FaceBook page. This feast is designed and written with Chinese traditions in mind; we’ll use a range of literary devices and wordplay to hint at what the courses may be. Due to this, we will not be able to accommodate any allergies or food preferences.
