Whether you’re just visiting Chicago or a seasoned local wise to how the train lets you bypass the traffic, construction, and parking, we’re exhilarated to announce that the Red Line Argyle Station has reopened after years of undergoing a massive renovation.

As a 30 minute ride from downtown Chicago or 15 minutes from it’s northernmost Howard Station terminal stop, disembarking at the Argyle Station frames the bustling Uptown neighborhood perfectly

Standing at its platform, Sun Wah BBQ is soooo tantalizingly close. We’re right before the parking structure in this shot…

Stairs on either end of the platform lead down to street level. In addition, the station’s long-awaited ADA compliance means there’s now an elevator available.

Spilling out of the station to street level, look west for the nearest stoplights. That’s the intersection for Argyle and Broadway. Turn right heading north and you’ll arrive at Sun Wah BBQ as the fifth building on the right.
Hopping back onto the Red Line is now just as friction-free. Trace those steps back from the restaurant to reach the entrance

Once past the turnstiles, the platform can be reached via stairs, elevator or up the escalator

It’s the most convenient (and possibly fastest) way to get to Sun Wah BBQ
