Uptown’s Chinese New Year Parade takes place Saturday, February 1st starting at 1pm. Staging for the parade is planned for the intersection of Argyle and Winthrop street.

Friday, January 24 heralds the approach of the lunar new year. On this auspicious day, Chinese around the world gather to share a family meal. Sun Wah BBQ will have limited hours this day. Carry-out service starts at 9am. Dining room begins at 10:30am and will continue to 6pm. Final seating is at 5pm.
Jan 18, 2020 – National Peking Duck Day
EVERY DAY at Sun Wah BBQ is a day to celebrate the Beijing (Peking) Duck Dinner, but if you need an extra excuse, Saturday, January 18, is a particularly good one as it gets recognized nation-wide. Be sure to reserve a table for your Beijing Duck Feast to avoid being relegated to the walk-in crowd.
Jan 1, 2020 – Happy New Year
Happy 2020 to our incredible collective of patrons! Sun Wah BBQ turns 35 this year. The restaurant opens on the first day of the year with regular hours from 9am to 9pm. All afternoon reservations for Wednesday are fully booked at this point. Any additional seating will be based on a Walk-In waitlist basis.
Dec 25, 2019 – Christmas Day
Sun Wah BBQ will have limited hours for Christmas Day Wednesday. Our Carry-Out Counter will be open at 9am. Dining Room starts service at 10:30am and continues through 6pm. Final seating will take place at 5:00pm. Now would be a good reminder opportunity to point out reservations are taken UNTIL all tables and time-slots are accounted for. 12/17/20 Update: All afternoon and evening tables for Christmas are fully booked.

For Tuesday, Sun Wah BBQ maintains its regular business hours of 9am to 9pm. With our patrons showing up in full force accompanied by family, friends, and advanced reservations, table openings might be limited for casual walk-ins.
